It's safe to say MAC Soar is one of my all-time favourite lip pencils (you've probably seen me wearing it in pretty much every outfit post!). But as I was perusing the aisles of Boots I spotted this L'Oréal Lip Liner Couture in Bois de Rose, which bared a striking resemblance to my beloved. And when I got home and swatched them side by side, I was impressed to find they were almost identical!
They're both in the same colour vein; dusky pinkish brown hues with a slight hint of mauve. The only difference is that Soar is a little bit darker than its drugstore counterpart. On the lips, I found the texture to be very similar too; both felt smooth and creamy and glided on effortlessly. I'd say the L'Oréal version was a tiny bit waxier, but barely at all.
And while Soar retails at £12.50, Bois de Rose costs a very purse-friendly £3.99. I'm actually starting to like L'Oréal's offering more, and I'm definitely going to check out the other shades in the range!

DeleteThe lipsticks have a different variety of shades! long lasting lipstick matte goes on smoothly and easily! It doesn't smear! A little goes a long way!
