If you watched my What's In My Makeup Bag video, you'll have seen I recently got the Clarins Everlasting Foundation +. Clarins is a brand I've come to rely on, every product I've tried from them has been amazing and this one is no different!
The main thing that really impresses me about this foundation is how it delivers medium-full coverage, yet still manages to feel very lightweight on the skin. It completely covers up the redness on my cheeks and disguises my dark circles and blemishes, so much so that I can easily skip the concealer. It doesn't, however, seem to do much for the pores on my nose, but then nothing ever does!
During the day I prefer a sheerer base, so I've just been using a tiny pinprick amount and quickly buffing it in to help even out my skintone. When used like this I find it looks really natural - like my skin but better!
But it's super buildable too. In the evening, I apply a full coat (like in the photo above) and it makes my skin look smooth, flawless and totally Kim K-like (the dream!). I have the shade Honey which is a tiny bit warm for me, but I do fake tan my body so it balances out nicely.
The finish is on the matte side but I find my cheekbones still boast a hint of glow, and it seems to set by itself so you don't necessarily need to powder. For reference, I have normal to combination skin, and the formula is oil-free so I can imagine it working well for oily skintypes too.
One thing to note is that it does have a faint, fresh scent, but I really like the scent and it disappears quickly after application, so it doesn't bother me at all. It wears well too; I apply it at around 7am and my skin still looks great come evening. Add a little powder touch-up and my base is as good as new!
And for all you packaging magpies out there, isn't the frosted bottle gorgeous?
