Afternoon Tea at Harrods

We recently went to Harrods for afternoon tea. As a huge scone fan (well I'm actually more a fan of the clotted cream you put on the scones), I was very happy about this.

Alongside our choice of tea (I went for the Yin Zhen Silver Needle tea, which is a white tea from China) we were given finger sandwiches with four different fillings and savoury cheese tarts. Once we had finished the waiter asked if we wanted another plate of sandwiches, of course we said yes, they were too good to pass up!

We then moved onto the scones which were served warm with clotted cream, rose-petal jelly, strawberry jam and lemon curd. Again we were offered seconds but were already getting pretty full by this point and had to keep room for the adorable mini pastries from Harrods' patisserie, plus the cute little jar of raspberry trifle.

The tea we had is called The Georgian Afternoon Tea, it's £39 per person and it's in the beautiful Georgian Restaurant on the fourth floor of Harrods. It was so delicious and an amazing experience too, I definitely recommend it if you're in London sometime soon.

And as the dress code for the restaurant was smart-casual, I wore my favourite floaty blouse from ASOS along with ripped jeans and my leopard print courts (these heels were such a good buy, they go with everything!)

Where's your favourite place to go for afternoon tea?

  5. Oh I was going to do this when I was in London but we didn't end up doing it, now I know I really missed out because this looks like such a cute experience. Plus, I'm on board with anything that lets me eat scones!
