Five Life Updates (And Three Outfits)

I realised it's been ages since I did a life update post, so I thought I'd fill you in on a few things that have been happening so far this year...

1. A Puppy

This is the main thing I really wanted to do this year and it's super exciting! I've wanted a dog for years but of course it's such a huge commitment, so I needed to make sure the timing was right. I've done a lot of research and I've already been visiting breeders and rescue homes. There's currently a waiting list for the breed I want, but it's looking like I will officially have a little pup by the summer. Expect to see lots of puppy photos coming to Instagram soon :)

2. More YouTube videos

I've received a few messages asking whether I'm still making YouTube videos, and I am! I've been so busy recently that I haven't had much time to film and edit, but I definitely want to get back to filming regular videos. I actually filmed one today so I'll try and get that edited and up on my channel as soon as possible.

3. Yoga

I started yoga classes again at the beginning of February. I did yoga religiously for two years while at University, but when I moved back to London I got a job working for a magazine pretty much immediately and found most of my evenings were taken up with various press events. I was always on the go so the thought of continuing yoga didn't even cross my mind. Fast-forward a few years and I'm back in the swing of it, and I love it - it's a great workout, it keeps you super flexible and it helps to strengthen your core.

4. I've finally had a clear out...

I've been meaning to do this for ages. Like I said, I worked at a magazine for a few years and during that time managed to accumulate a lot of clothes/shoes/makeup. I've finally sorted through everything and given a lot to charity. It's honestly the best feeling to have space around me and to actually be able to see all my clothes properly, plus I really needed to downsize my wardrobe for when I eventually move - wardrobe space never seems to be very generous in London! I read both the Marie Kondo books - The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying and Spark Joy - which gave me the kick I needed to actually get going, so I'd definitely recommend both of those if you need some spring cleaning inspiration.

5. I have a baby nephew!

Saving the best 'til last! I am officially a proud auntie to the most gorgeous little boy in the world. He is the definition of cute and although he's only a few weeks' old, he's already super active and I can tell it won't be long before he's talking and crawling. He already has a few dance moves up his sleeve and he has a killer pout which he always puts on whenever someone takes a photo. He should totally be a blogger when he's older...

  2. Congratulations on becoming an auntie! I welcomed my first nephew into the world back in November and being an auntie is brilliant :) I'm excited to see you more on YouTube again - I've always enjoyed your videos (even if they do mean I buy more clothes hehe!) Can't wait to see your new puppy when they arrive too :)
